Features

The Handheld Control Unit (HCU) is used for manual control and monitoring of one OTUS Gimbal Unit at a time.

The HCU is intended for direct wired connection to the OTUS Gimbal Unit, or for connection to the OTUS Gimbal Unit via an external wireless link. The external wireless link must be capable of bilateral transmission of a serial data stream between the HCU and the Gimbal Unit, and unilateral transmission of an analogue video signal from the Gimbal Unit to the HCU.

DST CONTROL offers a wide range of OTUS connectors and cables. Both as free terminated cables and complete cable kits for electrical connection of the gimbals.

The Free Cable Connector is a plug connector intended for electrical connection of the Gimbal Unit to an external Control Station. The connector comes complete with crimp contacts.

The Pre-Crimped Gimbal Cable is a complete cable intended for electrical connection of the Gimbal Unit to an external Control Station. There are a number of versions depending on video standard used, etc.

Features

The Helimount Assembly is a mount optimized for mounting of the OTUS Gimbal Unit vertically, head-down, on the belly of a helicopter airframe.

The helimount is fine-tuned to meet customer specific requirements, provided the customer provides vibration spectra, or recorded acceleration data, valid for the mounting point on the airframe. If no specific vibration data is provided, the helimount will be optimized towards default data for a helicopter with a specified number of rotor blades and nominal rotor speed.

Features

The GR-01 gimbal retract mechanism is specifically designed for OTUS-U135 gyrostabilized gimbals from DST Control.

Gimbal retract protects expensive payload from damage that can occur during unmanned aircraft landing. The design is optimized for high accelerations that are present during catapult takeoff, belly or parachute landing.Flexible control options allow using GR-01 retract with any autopilot system or simple switch circuit for lab testing or manned operations.

Unit can be optionally equipped with high performance air-damped vibration isolators for best performance.
